The drum-shaped case surmounted by a displayed eagle and on scroll support, flanked by two seated classical female figures reading books, one volume signed Jn Massey Fecit No. 40 Bridge Road LAMBETH, on rectangular plinth, with recessed panels to the front with foliate mounts and central Medusa mask, on toupie feet, the replaced white enamel Roman dial with moon hands, the single wire fusee movement with anchor escapement
