The case with brass handle to inverted bell top, with presentation plaque dated 1907, circular frets (one damaged) to the sides above glazed panels, the door with filled in quarter frets and moulded border (one section of veneer detached), convex chamfered angles to each side, on stepped base with block feet, the brass dial with foliate spandrels to the silvered chapter ring, matted centre with mock pendulum and plaque signed Geo. Lindsay Ser.t toy Prince of WALES, with strike/silent ring in the arch, the five pillar twin wire fusee movement with re-built verge escapement and strike on bell (later stand), elaborately engraved overall with foliate scrolls and central ho-ho bird, with engraved movement securing brackets
