The case with brass handle to later chamfered top and stylised flaming urn finials to the angles, brass fish scale sound frets to the sides, with foliate cast mounts to the corners of the front door, the moulded base on bracket feet, 6¼in. (16cm.) square gilt-brass dial with winged cherub spandrels to the silvered chapter ring, matted centre with cut steel hands, formerly with strike/not strike lever above XII, the 19th century movement with anchor escapement and triple fusees, with hour strike on bell and quarter chimes on a nest of eight bells, the backplate elaborately engraved with leafy scrolls; associated, adapted
