The hood with re-built stepped top above fret-carved and silk-backed quarter panels, with glazed side panels, gilt-capped pilasters supporting a breakarch above the door, the trunk door with moulded frame and crossbanded border, centred by a lenticle glass, on stepped plinth (shortened), the dial with engraved border and mask and foliate spandrels, matted centre with seconds ring, ringed winding holes and spurious signature Jabez Stock London, with dolphin spandrels to silvered calendar ring in the arch, the four pillar movement with inside countwheel strike on bell; associated and adapted, the case basically second quarter 18th century with adaptations and replacements, dial 20th century, movement basically 18th century with adaptations
