The curved watered steel double-edged tapering blade with medial ridge, carved above and gilded with scrolling floral motifs, the waisted oval section hilt carved leaving the design proud of the surface and subsequently gilded, each side with a panel of scrolling arabesques overlaying scrolling floral tendrils issuing from a central rosette, a band of floral meander above and below, the upper terminal with a large rosette flanked by arabesques
