LATIN MANUSCRIPT ON VELLUM. 4 leaves, written in black and gold in a very small roman script on 39 lines per page, FULL ILLUMINATED FLORAL BORDERS and TWO FULL-PAGE MINIATURES, in colors and gold, one of the allegories of Fame, Virtue, and Victory, bearing a wreath (center left blank), a view of Padua in the distance, the other depicting the Three Graces bearing an armorial device, title with vignette of the Virgin and Child with a kneeling Franciscan Saint (Francis?) before them, signature of artist on folio three verso "Jo: Aloysisu foppa Venetus Civis Pisaurensis Alme Univers. Patavine S.f.m.S.P/.". 4to, 242 x 170 mm. (9 x 6 in.), contemporary Paduan red calf gilt, roll-tool borders, large central and corner ornaments of fan design, infilled with other floral tools, minor wear; cords broken so that block is detached from binding.
