Provenance
The family archive of the present owner contains letters stating that the table was exhibited at the 1925 Exhibition in Paris. Only three examples of this design were ever made, of which one was bought in 1928 by the vendor's grandmother. From 1924, Henri Rapin was artistic director of the Manufacture de Sèvres. He contributed to many interiors of the pavilions at the 1925 Exhibition, including the salon and salle à manger of Une Ambassade Franaise with Tony Selmersheim or the Hôtel du Collectionneur with J.-E. Ruhlmann.
