Inlaid to the front and sides in scrolling foliage, the hinged fall-front opening to reveal a gilt-tooled claret-coloured leather-lined writing surface, with a small drawer and a compartment to each side, with three pigeon-holes to the centre, with a concealed well below, supported on a pair of pull-out iron slides, on slender square shaped tapering legs, each headed by a foliate clasp on foliate scroll sabots
