The architectural case surmounted by an urn and two classically-draped maidens emblematic of the Sciences, above the circular blue and white enamel dial, signed LENOIR/A PARIS, the twin-train movement with countwheel striking on a bell, above a panel painted with a spray of flowers, flanked to each side by twin Corinthian columns and a tower with curved flower-painted panel and domed finial, on breakfront base inset with further panels painted with flowers, on leaf-cast feet
