A Staffordshire creamware model of a spaniel
Circa 1780, probably Ralph Wood
Modelled seated on its haunches to the left, with black markings and an incised coat, on a cushion with tassels at each corner on an octagonal rectangular plinth moulded with a band of down-turned stiff-leaf ornament (crack through body, minute fritting, chip to underside and minute chipping to edge of base)
7 in. (17.8 cm.) high
