A fourteen karat white gold pocket watch awarded to Lou Gehrig for his role in the New York Yankees 1932 World Series Championship. The Hamilton watch back is inscribed New York Yankees, World Champions 1932, Lou Gehrig and features the image of a baseball player. Watch was given to Dr. Paul O'Leary of the Mayo Clinic by Gehrig in 1939. Gehrig had the watch face inscribed To Paul, May I always be worthy of your friendship followed by a facsimile Lou Gehrig signature.
