1938 LOU GEHRIG YANKEES UNIFORM
A New York Yankees pinstripe jersey and pants used during the 1938 season by legendary baseball player Lou Gehrig. The jersey has L. Gehrig in red stitching in the collar adjacent to a Spalding tag. On the lower left back tail is the year 38 in red stitching. Original blue felt number 4 is featured on the jersey's back, original NY logo has been removed. Jersey has been reinforced to prevent deterioration. Pants feature the name L. Gehrig in red stitching adjacent to a Spalding label on the inside band. There have been some alterations and patching to the knees.
