There are three color variants of this print: one with a light silver-grey background (see Kobayashi, ed., Harunobu, vol. 1 of Meihin soroimono ukiyo-e [Tokyo: Gyosei, 1991], pl. 11 [Metropolitan Museum of Art]); one with a darker grey background (this impression); and one with a black background (see Yoshida Teruji, gen. ed., Nishiki-e soshi jidai 1, vol. 4 of Ukiyo-e taisei [Tokyo: Taihokaku, 1970], no. 76).
