Oval black box, inlaid with three-colour gold and silver piqué posé motifs, on the cover a riverside landscape with turrets and a bridge, within a border of accolé c-scrolls and shells, the sides similary incrusted with flowersprays, with gold mounts and wavy flange, the slightly raised pierced thumbpiece chased with shellwork and c-scrolls, the inside of the cover inset with a Tassie-style glass profile of King George III (1760-1820) set on an oval red glass plaque in a gold mount with gilt-metal net surround
