Slightly tapering gold étui-à-cire of oval section, the domed plain cover topped by a swirling rosette, the matrix engraved with the coat-of-arms of the Adam family from Paris, the cover and base chased with vertical flutes, bordered by sablé bands chased with three-colour gold flower sprigs alternating with rosettes
