Maker's mark of Johann Georg Stenglin, Augsburg, 1781-1783
In the Louis XV style, each on four fluted bracket feet, the oval raised stand with border chased with running scrolls enclosing quatrefoils, the border to the raised centre chased with husks on fluted panels and quatrefoils with gadrooned upper band, the handles formed as masks of satyrs each with applied ram's horns, the flat centre fitted with two openwork frames with husk festoons and quatrefoil border and two cylindrical holders for oil and vinegar stoppers, prick engraved with cyrillic inscription and inventory number, marked on frames and holders, together with two additional covers similarly chased
