A miniature portrait of Jacobina Cornelia Dalen (1802-1813)

The sitter was the daughter of Doctor Cornelis Dalen, Director of the Hortus Botanicus in Leyden, (1766-1852) and Johanna Maria van Casteel (1771-1805). A copy is an private collection Belgium (photograph in the Iconografisch Bureau, The Hague).
Little is known about the artist, who specialized in portrait miniatures and who was active in Rotterdam.
