Two famille rose armorial plates
First part of the 18th century
The first plate painted to the centre with an accollée coat-of-arms enamelled in green, iron-red and gilt, surmounted by a winged boys head and feathery mantling, within a spearhead band, the everted rim with trailing plum blossom and a scroll band in silver and gilt; the other decorated with arms to the centre in gilt, iron-red and green, surmounted by a helmet and mantling, resting upon an elaborate Louis XV-style ornament in gilt (rim repair and piece missing)
Both 22.7 cm diam. (2)

Lot Essay

The accollée arms on the first plate are probably Belgian or French, the male coat-of-arms could be those of the Flemish Gaderpenninc family; the arms on the second plate are those of the De Heere family of Zeeland, the Netherlands.
