Details
1927 TRIUMPH RICARDO 500cc MOTORCYCLE

Registration No. PX 5471
Engine No. 10733
Frame No. 346570
Black frame and mudguards; cream and green petrol and oil tanks.

Single cylinder, 4 overhead valves, twin port exhaust, spring forks, rigid frame.

The ultimate development of Triumph's renowned model "H" refined and modified by the tuning wizardry of Harry Ricardo, and incorporating 4 valves inclined at 90 degrees in parallel pairs concave piston crown and twin exhaust porting, gave a higher rev. range and freer breathing. Designed in 1921 and used successfully in competition over a period of nearly ten years.

This machine, the subject of an older restoration is very original and was rebuilt carefully utilising all original parts, but not overly restored, thereby showing its age somewhat. Unused latterly, but according to the vendor in good running order, it comes with a V5 document but is not currently MOT'd. It would benefit from a general check over before recommissioning on the road.
