Mrs Murgatroyd with Willy and Annie
signed 'HELEN BRADLEY' (lower left), and with a fly, inscribed 'On Tuesdays Mrs Murgatroyd with/Willy and Annie came to our house to/help Mother clean the bedrooms. Mother/used to do a bit of cooking because/as soon as dinner was over we all/went up Springhead to see Great Aunt/Jane. Mother always took some of/the freshly baked muffins and a Sally/Lunn for our tea, but unless/Mother stayed in the kitchen with us Willy Murgatroyd was dreadful. He showed/his teeth at me and brought out his catalpult and pelted George and me with/blotting paper rolled in ink. I wish Mother/would come in. She and Mrs Murgatroyd/said they could smell burning and theyre/in the yard and the year was 1907' (on a label attached to the backboard)
