A PAIR OF LATE LOUIS XVI ORMOLU-MOUNTED CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE POTS-POURRI
Late 18th early 19th Century, by Malinet
Decorated overall with blue, green, pink, yellow and gilt branches, flowers, birds and butterflies, each with a moulded rectangular top surmounted by a lotus clasp and fruiting finial, above a pierced geometric-patterned rim on a stepped base with a leaf band, Signed to the underside of the lotus-leaf clasp 'Malinet', one pot-pourri with restored breaks

Provenance
Miss Elisabeth Moncreiffe of Moncreiffe (d. 1997). She had either acquired them by descent with Moncreiffe House, Perthshire, or by descent from her mother's family, the Ballis, of Switzerland.
