A Regency mahogany and chequer strung wheel barometer
First quarter 19th century
The case of pylonic form with boxwood and ebony chequer stringing to the front angles, the top surmounted by a turned wood urn finial, the alcohol thermometer with silvered scale within a hinged door which upon opening releases a catch below for the door to the silvered wheel barometer with blued steel hand, the door hinging forwards where upon the plinth cover can slide upwards to reveal the glass mercury tube (now empty)
