The case with gilt-metal handle and pine cone finials to the bell top, pierced fishscale sound frets to the sides, gilt-brass foliate cast quarter frets to the front door, gilt-brass bracket feet, the silvered dial signed Leplastrier & Son London within the Roman and Arabic chapter ring with calendar aperture, pierced blued steel hands, foliate spandrels, painted moonphase in the arch, the five pillar twin fusee movement with later anchor escapement and strike on bell, foliate engraved backplate signed Leplastrier & Son Shadwell London, similarly engraved backplate securing brackets to the case
