The case with handle to inverted bell top with later pineapple finials, fishscale sound frets to the sides and quarter frets to the front door, the base on brass bracket feet, the dial signed David Davies London on a silvered signature plaque above twin subsidiary rings in the arch for pendulum regulation and strike/silent, Roman and Arabic silvered chapter ring with blued steel hands, the matted centre with calendar aperture, foliate gilt-metal spandrels, the five pillar twin fusee movement with re-built verge escapement and strike on bell, foliate engraved backplate;
