A early 20th century iron bit, hallmarked "G.S. GARCIA" inside one cheekpiece and "ELKO, NEV." with the backwards N on the other. Constructed in the California style, the silver inlaid panels are engraved with a foliage motif. The mouthpiece is the classic Spanish spade and the bit is secured with double slobber chains.
