A well detailed 1:24 scale display model of Zambezi River stern wheel gunboat Capello,
originally built in Mozambique 1894 and modelled by R. da Silva, with main and upper decks, the upper with glazed cabin/wheelhouse, binnacle and telegraph, funnels, gatling guns, seats, deck rails and awning staunchions, the lower with anchors, winch, deck rails, two locomotive type boilers with pipework and fittings, cooking stove, glazed saloon, water barrels, fire buckets, twin cylinder engine and drive to stern wheel, two ship's boats in davits and other details. The hull, finished in red, white and varnish, is mounted on two turned wood columns -- 14 x 44in. (35.5 x 111.8cm.). Display base with legend.
