An Elizabeth I tentatively ascribed West Country seal-top spoon
with a squat fluted terminal, lightly gilded, marked in the bowl with a hexafoil? pellet mark and on the back of the stem with makers mark "I.G" in an oblong, probably by John Cotton, Barnstaple, first quarter of the 16th century - 16.75cm long, 1.25oz.
