A 17th century unascribed provincial Apostle spoon,
the gilt figure lacking emblem, with a 'spoked' nimbus, indistinctly pricked with initals on the back of the bowl, stamped with an openwork "tower" mark* in the bowl and twice on the back of the stem, probably middle of 17th century - 17.5cm long, 1.25oz.
*This mark is not disimilar to either a Norwich or Bridgwater town mark.
