Two one-page typed letters signed ("Ramsay MacDonald") to Mr Richard T. Windle (London Labour Party), 4°, on House of Commons headed paper, 29 March 1927 and 8 February 1929 (light spotting, small tears to top left hand corners, not affecting text). Windle is thanked in both letters for his assistance: "The thanks of the Movement are due to you for the very able way in which you conducted the fight in Southwark" (29 March 1927); and "I cannot let the day pass without expressing to you not only my own sincere thanks and congratulations but those of the whole Movement for the masterly way in which you conducted the Battersea contest." (8 February 1929).
