Lot Essay

The labelling of Ethiopia as ABBESSINIEN suggests a date prior to 1935, when it became Italian East Africa. This would aslo suggest, together with the label GERMANY in the south eastern Pacific, that this could be a German globe produced for the English-speaking market.
