The hump-back case with carrying handle to the bevelled glass escapement viewing aperture, glazed sides and rear door, the gilt dial signed L. Leroy & Cie. 7 Bd. de la Madelaine A Paris, Arabic chapter ring with subsidiary seconds ring and blued steel hands, subsidiary rings below 12 for day, date and alarm, the substantial twin barrel movement with high quality silvered lever platform with cut bimetallic compensated balance with blued steel helical spring, the platform engraved L. Leroy & Cie. Echappement Extra, the contrate with jewelled chaton, strike/repeat/alarm on two gongs to the spot-finished backplate signed L. LEROY ET CIE. PARIS and No.22792, also stamped 1361 to one side, with three-position selection lever in the base; the original black leather travelling case with green velvet lining, with gilt-stamped signature to the inside, and original winding key numbered 22792; with later associated red marble display plinth
