The pillars case with reeded columns and pierced mounts to the base, the off-white enamel annular Arabic chapter ring with recessed plain gilt centre with retail signature HOWELL & JAMES LD. TO THE QUEEN LONDON, also fitted with vertically positioned cut bimetallic balance with lever escapement for the twin barrel movement, the top with silvered Reaumur/Fahrenheit thermometer ring with curved mercury tube, with compass to the centre, strike on gong to the backplate numbered 699; with original leather travel case
