The cannelee case mounted with porcelain side panels painted with daisies against a gilt ground, the dial also with gilt ground and painted with flowering and fruiting branches to the upper corners, the chapter ring painted with individual turquoise blue Roman cartouches, with figures below of a little boy and girl standing beside a barrow in a garden, painted in the manner of Kate Greenaway, with retail signature HALL NICOLL & GRANBERY NEW YORK, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to the bimetallic balance with lever escapement, with strike/repeat on gong to the backplate stamped for H.N & G, with further stamp for Margaine and numbered 6197
