An unusual French gilt and silvered brass and enamel mounted ting-tang striking and repeating carriage clock with alarm

The anglaise riche case with silvered reeded columns, the polychrome enamel side panels each decorated with of a courtly couple in Renaissance costume, with silvered mask to the dial overlaid with a gilt trellis mount, pierced and engraved with amorini amidst trailing foliage, with pale blue and white dial disc, the Roman numerals within individual cartouche borders, blued hands, conforming alarm dial below, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to the bimetallic balance with lever escapement, ting-tang strike on hour and half hour and ting-tang repeat on two gongs, with alarm on single gong to backplate numbered 1464
