The substantial case with floral marquetry to the hood with swan-neck pediment, with brass ball and spire finials resting on plinths inlaid with bats' wing paterae, carved fret panels to the sides and brass-capped fluted columns to the front, with conforming three-quarter pilasters to the arched trunk door elaborately inlaid with floral marquetry, with sound frets to the backboard, panelled sides, on stepped plinth with inlaid panelled front and chamfered angles, panelled sides, the gilt-brass dial with painted rolling moon to the arch, foliate spandrels to the silvered and engraved chapter ring applied with Arabic numerals, subsidiary chime/silent and Eight bells/Westminster chimes rings to the corners, the centre elaborately engraved with foliate designs, with silvered seconds ring and vacant plaque, the substantial four pillar three train movement with deadbeat escapement with strike and quarter chimes on nine tubular bells, with steel rod pendulum and three brass weights
