The case with breakarch hood with later giltwood finials, fretwork panel to the cornice (later) and brass-capped columns, glazed side panels, the breakarch trunk door with moulded frame, on stepped plinth (shortened), the brass dial with mask and foliate spandrels to the silvered chapter ring, matted centre with subsidiary silvered seconds ring and date aperture, also with plaque bearing signature Richard Gregg London, strike/silent ring in the arch, the four pillar (one lacking) rack striking movement with anchor escapement and strike on bell; composite, dial, case and movement associated, case second quarter 18th century with restorations and replacements
