Werge Monteith Rooms Glasgow (lower portion of case only); one sixth-plate stamped John Beattie within thistle garland on front cover; one ninth-plate stamped McMillan & Thomson 19 Princes Street Edinburgh on back cover; one sixth-plate and two ninth-plate stamped on cases Ross & Thomson Photographers to the Queen Edinburgh (one of the latter lacking upper portion of case); with a cased hand-tinted carte-de-visite portrait by Ross & Thomson.
