The first with double-edged blade with medial ridge on each side and reinforced towards the point, retained by a shaped panel deeply stamped with flowering foliage over each side of the forte, iron hilt with shaped grip pierced and chiselled with a flower-head, and recurved side-bars with pierced and beaded borders interrupted on each side by a bud-shaped finial; the second with fullered double-edged blade reinforced towards the point, and slender iron hilt with baluster handles, decorated overall with gold-damascened borders and foliage (worn)
