The first with twist sighted barrel, signed lock engraved with scrollwork and two pheasants, figured maple half-stock, chequered grip, engraved iron mounts, vacant silver escutcheon, horn fore-end cap, and brass-tipped ramrod (engraving worn throughout, barrel-bolt replaced), London proof marks; the second converted from flintlock, with gold breech lines, platinum plug, figured walnut half-stock (minor damage), vacant silver escutcheon and barrel-bolt escutcheons, and silver fore-end cap, (iron parts with areas of pitting throughout), Birmingham proof marks
