The first with signed reblued shortened barrel, signed and engraved reblued lock stamped 'Best Enfield Pattern', walnut full stock with bellied butt, engraved brass butt-plate and trigger-guard, plain brass barrel bands, and later brass ramrod, Birmingham proof marks; the second converted from flintlock and with belled two-stage barrel, signed lock, full stock, brass mounts (trigger-guard broken), and associated iron ramrod, London proof marks; the third with dated lock stamped with spurious 'Tower' and VR crowned marks, full stock, brass mounts, iron saddle bar, and stirrup ramrod
