The first early 19th Century, the second circa 1865
The first with belled two-stage barrel, the breech of octagonal section, flat bevelled lock, figured full stock, iron mounts including trigger-guard with acorn finial, and later wooden ramrod; the second with scroll engraved octagonal sighted barrel engraved 'Fabrique de Lepage Frres Lige, Maison Paris 12. rue d'Enghien' and stamped with the initials 'L.F.' above a lion (probably for Lefaucheux), ejector rod, scroll engraved cylinder (arbor pin defective), scroll engraved action (defective, loading-gate replaced) and scroll trigger-guard, wooden butt (replaced), and iron butt-plate with sprung hinged cover
