A 28-Bore French Flintlock Holster Pistol

With two-stage barrel with a ring at the muzzle and fluted breech, rounded lock signed on the tail (cock associated), figured walnut full stock (minor defects), iron mounts including spurred pommel and flat side-plate pierced and engraved with monster-heads, turned ramrod-pipes (one perhaps associated), and later iron-capped ramrod (iron parts with surface pitting)

The maker is probably Henri Dupr le jeunne of Saint-Etienne, who died in 1687
