A Pair Of 22-Bore Turkish Silver-Mounted Flintlock Holster Pistols
Late 18th Century
With belled two-stage brass barrels stamped with spurious British proof marks and with engraved spurious inscription on the breech, engraved iron tangs, engraved rounded locks by T. Ketland & Co. (iron parts pitted throughout), walnut full stocks profusely inlaid with silver wire scrollwork (minor losses), cast and chased silver mounts decorated in relief with trophies of arms, flowers and foliage (one trigger-guard loose), silver ramrod-pipes, and horn-tipped ramrods (one replaced)
