With long straight double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section with wide shallow central fuller on each face of the forte flanked by narrow fullers on the long ricasso, the latter with a pair of pointed lugs at the front, iron hilt separated from the blade by leather and textile washers, comprising long straight slender quillons widening slightly to triangular tips and with two concentric side-rings on each side, plummet-shaped pommel, and original tapering wooden grip bound with cord and covered with leather
