A well engineered 1/8th scale model open crank gas engine,
originally built by National Gas Engine Co. Ltd., and modelled by K.C. Gray, circa 1914,overhauled by A. Walshaw, with water-cooled cylinder 1½in. bore x 2¼in. stroke, counterbalanced crankshaft with twin curved spoke flywheels and starter pulley, the main bearings with wick type oil pots, gear driven camshaft, eccentric driven make and break, cam and rocker operated inlet and exhaust valves, gear driven throttle governor and linkage operating on the inlet valve, hot tube and spark ignition systems, inlet pipe and floor-mounted air cleaner, gas regulator with main and regulator valves and pipes, exhaust pipe and silencer, water piping and other details, finished in maroon with yellow lining and polished brightwork, planked floor with brass handrails and display base, cast National Engine Co.
