A late 19th-Century approx 3in. scale single cylinder portable engine
with riveted steel boiler with expanded in tubes and fittings including water gauge with shut-off cocks, level test cock, pressure gauge, safety, whistle, blower (not connected), clack valves and blowdown cock. Engine details include cylinder 2in. bore x 2in. stroke, draincock and pipe, valve chest lubricator, trunk type crosshead guide, tapered connecting rod with marine type big end, crankshaft bearings mounted in curved trunnions with pressure lubricator, eccentric driven feed pump and by-pass, belt driven governor and linkage and twin flywheels. Other details include metal spoked wheels, turning lock, ashpan and hand feed pump, finished in green, red, black and polished brightwork (chimney not original) -- 32 x 25in.
