Lot Essay

Owned by the Marquis of Queensberry, King David was by Remembrances out of an Ormond mare. He won 18 races including the Member's Plate and Gosforth Stakes at Newcastle on Tyne, the City Plate at York, as well as two Gold Cups at Dumfries and one at Carlisle.
