Deep circular, the raised base chased six times with Celtic-knot dragon enclosed by strapwork, the mid-section chased with band of continuous Celtic-knot dragons on matted ground, with two conforming tab handles with trefoil ends, engraved The Edinburgh Gold Cup Presented by The Corporation of Edinburgh 1930; the other side engraved won by Sir Victor Sassoon's Bay Horse "Mint Master." September 16th 1930. Jockey G. Richards Trainer C. Waugh, Newmarket, on wood plinth
