Maker's mark of Samuel Kirk, Baltimore, 1820-1822
Comprising coffeepot, two teapots, covered sugar bowl, cream jug, and waste bowl; each shaped rectangular, on rectangular stepped foot, the body part-fluted with engraved monogram on one side HCM, the other side AM, with die-rolled bands, the pots with scroll spouts and wood handles, marked under bases, one teapot with Baltimore assay marks for 1820, the coffee pot, one teapot, and covered sugar bowl with assay marks for 1822, the cream jug with maker's mark only, the waste bowl unmarked
The coffeepot 11in. high; gross weight 137oz. 10dwt.
