Lot Essay

From a well-known series of dishes in verte and rose-verte enamel colors showing provinces and cities of the Netherlands and of France and England, the spelling Dutch and the grouping suggesting they were ordered after the 1713 Treaty of Utrecht that ended the War of the Spanish Succession.
